Step 1: prepare the dough.

Preheat oven to 175 – 180 degrees Celsius. Add baking powder and salt to a deep bowl with sifted wheat flour, mix the ingredients with a whisk until smooth and set the container with the flour mixture aside.
Place cocoa powder in a small bowl food coloring and mix them with a tablespoon until smooth. Then drive the required amount into it. chicken eggs remove the shells and pour in the aromatic vanilla extract. Stir the mixture again with a spoon until smooth and free of lumps and set aside.
Place the softened mixture in a clean deep bowl. butter, add the required amount of granulated sugar to it and place the container under the blade of the food processor, which is used for kneading the dough. Beat the mixture for 10 – 12 minutes, at high speed until the sugar grains are completely dissolved and fluffy. Then add half of the flour mixture to the whipped products, without ceasing to mix the ingredients with a mixer at medium speed.
After 2 – 3 minutes add kefir there and beat the thickening dough for at least 15 minutes at a strong level. Then turn off the mixer and put 1 teaspoon of baking soda into a bowl with a semi-liquid mass, 1 teaspoon table vinegar. Add a mixture of cocoa powder, dye, eggs and continue kneading.
Now add the remaining flour mixture into the thick mass and mix the dough at medium speed until you are sure that it is homogeneous and without flour lumps, this process will take you approximately 5 - 7 minutes.

Step 2: bake the cakes.

Take 2 heart-shaped baking dishes and grease the containers a small amount softened butter, 2 tablespoons is enough for each mold. Pour the dough into containers in equal quantities. Make sure that your oven is preheated to the desired temperature before placing the dough pans in it. Bake the cakes for 30 – 35 minutes. Check the readiness of the dough with a wooden skewer. Insert it into the middle of the cake, if it is dry, then the base for the cake is ready, if the end of the wooden stick is wet, then let the cakes reach full readiness in the oven. 7 – 10 minutes.
After the required time has passed, remove the pans from the oven, helping yourself with the baked cakes with a kitchen towel, and place them on a metal rack. Once they have cooled, run the tip of a knife between the sides of the pans and the side of the finished cakes, this will loosen any stuck dough from the sides of the pans. Using a spatula, remove the cakes from the pans, place them on a metal rack and let cool completely until room temperature.

Step 3: prepare the cream.

Required quantity white chocolate Place it on a cutting board, chop it into small pieces with a knife and place it in a deep saucepan with a thick bottom. Pour in 25% fat cream and place the container on the stove, turned on to medium level. Bring the mixture to a boil and the chocolate is completely dissolved, this will take no more than 2 – 2.5 minutes and immediately remove the saucepan from the stove. Set it aside, allowing the liquid to cool to room temperature.
Then pour it into a deep bowl, pour it in 1 or 2 tablespoons of rum and start beating the mixture with a mixer, turning on the kitchen appliance at medium speed. After 30 – 40 seconds While stirring vigorously, begin adding powdered sugar into the liquid mass. Proceed slowly, add it in parts, without ceasing to beat the cream with a mixer. The amount of powder depends on the desired thickness that you want to give to the cream. When the mixture reaches a uniform velvety texture, stop the beating process and, using scissors, cut out a heart from cardboard to the size of the baked cakes.

Step 4: form the cake.

Lay down 1 from the cooled cakes onto a cardboard base and using a tablespoon, apply a generous portion of cream to its surface, not forgetting that the cream should remain to completely lubricate the cake.
Carefully place the second cake layer on top of the cream. Lightly press it down with the palms of your hands, don’t be too zealous, just compact the base a little, a little cream will flow out on the sides, but it’s not a problem.
Place all the remaining cream on the second cake layer and spread it with a knife over the entire surface of the almost finished cake, not forgetting the sides culinary masterpiece. The cake is ready, place it on 30 – 40 minutes in the refrigerator for the cream to harden, and during this time decide how to decorate it.

Step 5: decorate the cake.

You can decorate your product the way you like best; this recipe uses ready-made glaze, which is sold in stores and supermarkets, and to use it, you just need to heat it in microwave oven during 3 – 5 minutes or melt by dipping the bags in boiling water for 10 minutes. You can also prepare icing or any other decorations for the cake yourself, it all depends on your desire. After the icing has melted, use scissors to cut off the tip of the packaging on the chocolate icing, apply it to the surface of the frozen cream and move your “heart” onto the cutting board using a kitchen spatula.
Grease the cake with black chocolate icing from all sides using a knife.
Also print out a bag of white icing and spread it over the surface of the cake in streaks. Place the fragrant surprise back in the refrigerator for 2 – 3 hours for soaking, and then serve it on the table.

Step 6: Serve the Valentine's Day cake.

Valentine's Day cake is served chilled. If you wish, you can get fragrant dessert out of the refrigerator an hour before serving, thus allowing it to warm up a bit.
Candles can be placed on the surface of the cake to symbolize your love for seconds, minutes, hours, months or years. The texture and taste of the cake resembles a sponge cake, with a delicate, unobtrusive aroma of vanilla and a pleasant airy cream. You can savor this yummy with any drink you like, and whether it is alcoholic or non-alcoholic depends on your desire. Enjoy!

I want to make Valentine's Day special. A nice addition to romantic dinner It will be a small but beautiful cake with a themed design. What it will be like depends on the skill and imagination of the pastry chef. We offer you several bright ideas which you can implement using products from our supermarket.

Symbolism of the holiday

When decorating cakes and desserts for Valentine's Day, burgundy and scarlet colors are used, which are associated with its theme. The main symbols of the holiday are hearts, angels and roses.

The heart is a long-known sign of sensuality and deep feelings. In its form you can bake a cake for Valentine's Day or you can decorate sweets with small hearts. You can often find a heart pierced by an arrow from a mischievous Cupid.

Angels are often an image of Cupid, the son of Venus, who, according to legend, strikes a man with his arrow, and he falls in love. Eros, Cupid are other names for this character.

Roses, especially red ones, speak of passionate love, and the appearance of a beautiful girl is also compared with their beauty. The Queen of Flowers can have a variety of shades: white allows you to express pure love, pink speaks of hope for a closer relationship, and red focuses on the sensual side, the power of passion. They acquired such significance thanks to the myth of Aphrodite, who injured herself on a bush of white roses on the way to her beloved.

Lace is another symbol that has been used by the fair sex for centuries. They are associated with romance, so they can easily be found as wrapping paper or decoration on a cake. Less commonly used are pigeons and other birds, symbolizing not only love, but also care and the promise of eternal fidelity.

Cake ideas

Sprinkles with hearts

This is the simplest decoration option. Sweet colored sprinkles will add variety to your baked goods with a minimum of effort. You can cover the Valentine's Day cake with fondant, meringue, glaze or just cream, and decorate everything with a scattering of hearts on top.

Heart shaped cake

Everyone has round and rectangular shapes, but you can shape the heart yourself. For this, special rules are used - a piece of metal, similar to a ruler, but bendable. You can make a heart shape out of it by securing it in the right place.

To cover with mastic ready cake in the shape of a heart, it is useful to have cutters for working with dough and mastic, an acrylic rolling pin for rolling out mastic (you can take a relief one). At the end, you can straighten the mastic on the cake using a special smoothing device.

Mastic hearts

A round cake can be decorated with mastic hearts. To do this, you will need to have cutters for cutting out different parts. For leaves and flowers you will need plungers. If you are looking for an original way to decorate a cake for Valentine's Day, then you should get creative with the creation of hearts - for example, make them striped. To do this, you can roll out white and red mastic into a single sheet and cut out hearts from it.

Mastic figures
